Grechelle's Kitchen: Superb Cake-in-a-Jar

Who would have thought that cakes can now be placed inside a jar? I guess it's a crafty way of eating cakes without messing your shirt. This concept was really innovative and interesting. Not just it captures your attention but it tastes good too!

Actually, this was a Valentine's gift from my friend Grace who's really fond of sharing and giving us something in every occasion or whenever she just feel like doing so. Surprises is really her thing.
Ordinary cupcakes with thick frosting on top are too mainstream. Try giving your special someone with something more unique and classy that comes in an affordable price. For only Php. 100 pesos you can already have this cute scrumptious cake in a jar from Grechelle's Kitchen. It's handy and more convenient to munch on.

Instead of singing Christina Perri's "Jar of Hearts" on a Valetine's day, why don't you just eat all your sorrow's away by eating a "Jar of Cake". Set aside your diet for a while and reward yourself with something more gratifying. Try this Mango Panna Cotta and it'll surely blow your mind away!

If you're a fan of strawberries, this one is for you! Grechelle's Kitchen has Strawberry cheesecake and Strawberry Panna Cotta on their menu list. I've tasted the Strawberry Panna Cotta and it's really the bomb! The caramelized strawberry on top is really bursting it's natural flavor while the full-bodied creamy gelatin has a smooth texture that lingers in my taste buds. An enchanting after-taste indeed!

It may look like Lechen Flan but this one is Pudding. I'm not a fan of this but I like the chance of playing with interesting dairy options. There's so many reasons to love this dessert and it's still worth a try. You will never even regret trying it! Just like the famous line in Katy Perry's Teenage Dream song goes, "No Regrets, Just Love".

I may sound like one obsessed, but I think this Blueberry Cheesecake is so winning, that I was compelled to write a blog about it. The word perfect is a one-size-fits-all-label in the blogosphere. So when I use the word "perfect", it must be really so good. The sweetness suits my taste. It's not too sweet and it's just taste right! At the base it has a layer of buttery & tasty dough followed by a layer of cream cheese and finally topped with caramelized blueberries! Each scoop is smooth and creamy set against the sweetness of the blueberries.

Galactica: Let Everyone See More Beyond Vision

Fashion is something that makes a person feel good about themselves. Admit it or not, we sometimes owe our confidence from the clothes that we wear. Just like what it did to Cinderella when her fairy godmother flick her wand and voila! in just a blink of an eye, she's already clad with shimmering elegant white balloon gown that made everyone's head turn. It gave our Disney princess the privilege to feel special about herself.

Like the fairy godmother in the story, ComAch or the Community Achiever's Association Commerce Unit (a well-known org. in UST) wanted to implore beauty, grace and elegance in their Fashion Show entitled "Galactica: Let Everyone See More Beyond Vision". It's not just an ordinary fashion show because the event aims to raise learning materials for their partner community in Bataan to support their advocacy, "Youth Empowerment Through Education".

The question is, who will walk in the runway? To tease you a little bit of who they are, I'll provide you with clues to ignite your burning curiosity. The said event will be attended by the Philippine Fashion Week Models, UST Personalities, Pintig Models and UST Youth Ambassadors and Ambassadress. They will flaunt the designs of some aspiring fashion designers and online sellers that were impeccably selected by the officers and project heads of the organization.

Now what are you waiting for? Be part of this Galactic event and witness it live on February 28, 2014 from 5pm-9pm at the UST Medicine Auditorium. It's an event that you shouldn't miss!

See you there!
