Subliminal Perception

April 19, 2014
(Black Saturday)

This post is not usually the kind of blog I write but I think it's worth sharing anyway.

My cousins and I along with the guidance of our Tito Sonny and Tita Mikki went for a spelunking trip at one of the caves in Biak-na-bato (Bahay ng Paniki). Actually, the original plan was just to fetch my two cousins and my sister who went for a 57km biking all the way from Malolos to San Miguel. Since we were already at a serene place with no time to spare, we grabbed the opportunity to make this day worthwhile. Spontaneous getaways is really our thing because sometimes planned ones ruin the thrill.

Spelunking with trekking at Biak-na-bato, biking going to Sibulan Spring and swimming in 8 waves at San Rafael, Bulacan were the highlights of this day. And since I grew up in Pasig City but was born here in Bulacan, seeing these kind of places excite me.

After the tiring but fun day, I browsed at the photos in my phone to look for something to upload in my facebook and instagram account and this "selfie" of mine caught my attention...

There's a white formation of something at my back. I swiped again to the next photo and found the same image at the exact place again...

As I zoom it in, the image became vivid. . .

Did you see it?

From left to right: An image of a man(sideview) talking to a person with a robe carrying a baby.

It's up to you if it's just my subliminal perception or it's really something. But this photo totally scared the hell out of me.

Whatever it is, God is more believable than this. I believe and I have faith in Him and therefore I shall not fear.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding"
-Proverbs 3:5

Stateside

Stateside is an American diner at the outskirts of Metro Manila and specifically located in  Catmon, Malolos, Bulacan (along Paseo del Congresso). At the entrance, you'll notice a face-in-hole of the legendary icon, Marilyn Monroe and the Statue of Liberty with a huge "Stateside" signage on top squeezed in a burger bun. The flooring is designed like a life size chess board with squares of white and black while the gramophone records vector are hung on the walls and ceiling. True enough, it really captured the "American feels".

They don't just offer the traditional American food but they also offer Italian foods like Pasta and Mexican food like their Nachos. To all of it, I strongly commend their Nachos. It's really so divine to the point that I lost words to describe it's taste. The nacho chips, salsa, ground beef and melted cheese provide the ultimate blend of flavors- combining sweet, salty, spicy and tangy all in one bite! A collage of flavors it is!

(Stateside Tacos)

(Strawberry Milkshake)

(Chili Fries)

(Shrimp and Fries)

(Stateside Cheeseburger)

The prices are affordable without even compromising it's taste! It ranges from Php.65- Php.150. Sure you can list the ingredients, textures, spices, and colors BUT you can't describe the emotion I felt by eating it. You'll never regret putting it in your Summer Food Trip list :)
