The Baker's Table

It's been a while since the last time I wrote a blog and for this year, I made an oath to myself to update this site every once in a while.

I started my first weekend of 2015 with a sweet treat at The Baker's Table. Thank God for letting me spend it with my cousins who could make me laugh effortlessly through their inborn quirkiness. I could say that they are probably the best people I could ask out whenever I feel bored at home.

As we drove along Maginhawa Street, we suddenly noticed a fancy shop with stripes of turquoise blue and white.

After entering the humble cake shop, I smelled the lingering aroma of freshly baked cakes that fill the air and welcomes those who visit with a warm embrace.

It is definitely a place in which happiness for sugar rush and completion of the soul can be experienced!

The most interesting part of this cake shop is having unique flavors of my local childhood favorite candies.  They offer a hybrid of cakes and candies combined.

The cake's price ranges from Php. 110-150 per slice.

 What we tried:

Haw Haw Cake
It was by far, the most popular flavor of cake. My sister insisted on trying it!

Puto bumbong cake
They geniously transformed this traditional Filipino post "Simbang Gabi" treat into a cake which turned out to be really good!

Hany Cake
It never even crossed my mind that my favorite "Hany Chocolate" would soon become a flavor of a cake. But look! Here it is right now.

To cap it off, it was all a slice of nostalgia. Bringing back your childhood memories in just one bite. A must try for 2015 indeed!

I'm a dreamer like most of everyone else. What makes us distinctive is having our own unique stories to be told. And I believe that I am born to succeed. My conviction and drive to reach the zenith of success will bring me to where I see myself in the future
